USB external Hard Drive

Once you finally have made the smart decision of buying an external hard drive now it’s time to put the files on your drive. This is not a very hard task; in fact it’s actually quite easy to do. First you need to connect the hard drive to an USB port on your computer or laptop. Wait for the pop-up to come which says that windows has detected a new hardware (your external hard drive). If this does not come up, then just go to my computer and double click the external hard drive icon. Now, you can open up the folder on the external hard drive and whatever you need to be on there, you can just put it in by simply dragging and dropping. Just select the file and hold it and just move it into the external hard drive folder. Simple as that!

Before I went to purchase an external hard drive , the first thing I thought of was the age they last . I asked this question to one of my computer expert friends and he replied me like this:-

“My friend, the age of the external hard drive doesn’t depend on one factor. It can be last long to you if you take proper care of it. There are many other factors like if there is any virus in the drive, sometimes overheating problems, ventilation problem, mishandling of the device etc. If you take proper steps to maintain it then it will be last long for you. I tested all of the HP Simple Save Hard Disks myself and They are all of notable mention. All you have to do is plug the device in, and the software inside will prompt you and ask if you want to use the drive or preform a backup. If you choose the backup option, the drive will automatically scan your internal hard disk for all the files that need to be backed up. After the scan is complete, you have the option to add or subtract files from the backup or let it continue.
