Actual Review by William S. Beller :
I’ve discarded several portable drives either for their large size, or needing a power port in addition to a USB, price high, insisting on using the manufacturer’s software when I wanted to decide what software I wanted to use. A simple delete got rid of this manufacturer’s software, I installed my own, and I had exactly what I wanted, a reliable 500 gb, small portable external drive that runs a backup program of my choosing.
